Summer Wedding at Elsie Perrin

I was so honoured to photograph this lovely July wedding at Elsie Perrin William’s estate! I am originally from London, and Elsie Perrin is one of my all time favourite places to do a photoshoot, so this was a dream come true.

The day was truly perfect. It was sunny and warm, and not too windy. Rachel got ready in the upstairs part of the house, while Sean was in the downstairs.

Rachel and Sean have quite the crazy story as to how they met! A few weeks after they started dating, Sean told his mother Rachel’s full name. She immediately realized that Sean and Rachel had been friends when they were babies. She quickly ran downstairs and pulled out a photo of the two of them at Rachel’s first birthday party. Sean’s mother had written on the back, “Sean’s girlfriend Rachel”. That sentence is now inscribed on the inside of Sean’s wedding band. You can see a photo of the picture if you scroll down!

Furthermore, Rachel is a childhood friend of mine! Growing up, she lived just down the street from me. She and her sister Kathleen used to come to my house every day after school, and Kathleen would babysit us and my siblings while our parents were still at work.

That’s why it was such an honour to capture this day. To see my old friend, surrounded by all the people she cares about, marrying the love of her life; it was truly special.
