Engagement at Kelso Conservation Area

To start off my free engagement sessions, I began by travelling to Kelso Conservation Area to photograph the wonderful couple Avery and Travis!

We started off with a meeting over coffee on Tuesday, and agreed to meet each other the very next day for a shoot. I mean, why wait? We knew the weather would be nice, someone had JUST cancelled a meeting with me, so I was completely free. We met up two hours before the sun was supposed to set, and began out shoot.

It was stunning. Avery and Travis were so natural in front of the camera, being free with their laughs and jokes to one another.

I almost cried when I saw the lighting in these photos - I couldn’t believe how stunning it looked. As a photographer, we’re always looking for nice light, and sometimes we have to settle for okay light. But not on this day. On this day, I was gifted the most stunning rays of sunshine softly illuminating my subjects.

I’d like to thank Avery and Travis for being the first to meet and shoot with me during this campaign! I truly appreciate you both, and how easy you made it for me.
