Engagement at Crawford Lake
I met up with Danielle and Dan in the midst of a small disaster. Despite what it says on their website, Crawford Lake requires reservations past a certain time of day, and they now have automated gates! I had arrived 20 minutes early, intending to do some scouting, but unfortunately I spent those 20 minutes pulled over amidst seven other cars desperately trying to get a signal to reserve a spot. When I finally had a signal, I entered three different credit cards to pay, and none of them worked. Frustrated, I managed to call someone in the office, who put me on hold for 5 more minutes. It was at this point Danielle and Dan showed up! I finally got an answer on the other end of the line, and the person kindly decided to let me in for free since I had waited for so long. I also convinced them to let Danielle and Dan in for free as they drove in behind me. Phew! Lesson learned, get a reservation before going in to a Milton Conservation Area!
Danielle and Dan quickly distracted me from my troubles, and we ended up having a wonderful evening. I basically just followed them around as they made each other howl with laughter, it was an absolute dream! I can’t wait for their wedding!
Enjoy the photos - there’s a sequence of four of them laughing at an impression Dan did.
